March – week 4

spring sun …

a black and white beetle runs

across page 99

~

my life’s fine balance…

watching a magpie

tip its tail

~

catkin rain

a chaffinch’s tail

trembles with song

~

watching finches comb

the willow’s rain-washed catkins…

I wish your hurts

were still no more than tangles

in your baby-blond hair

~

last light

the singing blackbirds

hold onto it

~

one by one

alighting in the cherry

starlings…

the dusk and I

gather our thoughts

~
